Mike Sommerfeld has spent more than three decades serving the people of Pierce County through a career rooted in public service, professionalism, and respect for the rule of law.

 

Since joining the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 1995, he has earned a reputation as a thoughtful attorney, trusted legal advisor, and experienced courtroom advocate.

For the past 28 years, Mike and his wife Christa have called Pierce County home—where they raised their children and built deep ties to the community. Mike comes from a family that values hard work and service to others. That commitment to community is something he shares with his wife Christa, a licensed clinical social worker who has supported families throughout Pierce County as a victim advocate and family therapist.

 

Today, he serves as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and legal advisor to Pierce County District Court and Juvenile Court.
